Tolstoy-Inspired Winter Reverie

It's not often that we are given two feet of snow here in Virginia, so during the record winter storm, Amelia, Sydni, and I walked in the deep drifts and tried to keep our fingers from going numb.  We finished up with mugs of steaming coffee around the kitchen table and lost track of time.  A perfect snowy afternoon.
