Wearable Florals, Part 1: The Crown

Dear Friends,

There are many ways to wear flowers, but for someone who spent her childhood weaving daisy chains, the flower crown is Queen.  From Etruscan, gilt crowns in the 1st century B.C. to Shakespearean plays in the Elizabethan era, to the age of the flower children...women have been wearing flowers in their hair for centuries.  Florists today continue to keep this popular accessory fresh & lovely.

I can't WAIT to show you photos from this weekend's styled shoot --- complete with a heart-breakingly gorgeous crown by my talented friend Abby (Blakemore's Flowers).  Stay tuned for some beautiful photos by the wonderful Erin Forehand.

Please excuse the phone photo!  Just had to share a peek at Abby's floral crown.
Thank you to Erin, Amy, Truly Bridal & our lovely model Farren.  More to come soon!

Here are a few of my favorite online tutorials---I hope you'll feel inspired to try one of these now that Spring is right around the corner!

Until Soon,
Sara xx
