It's A Wrap!

Hello Friends!

I wish all of you a very happy Thanksgiving week!  If you're looking to come by this week, please note that we will be closing early Wed, closed Thanksgiving, and will be open 10-6 Fri & on Small Business Saturday.  If you have any questions, feel free to phone the shop!

If you're at all like me, you're a little shell-shocked that the holidays are already here...but I hope that this post will give you (and me!) a little inspiration for your gifting plans.

Gift wrap is often thought of as a means to an end---the paper, tape, and ribbon that go around the present, but for those of us sentimental ones, it's quite the process.  It's something to plan out, obsess over, and spend lots of time on!

Now, of course spending hours wrapping gifts for children who are more intent on getting into the boxes would be quite counterproductive (as former students have shown me!) :)  But, for a few friends or family members, the extra care and effort is just as special as what lies inside, waiting to be unwrapped.

Here are several photos of alternative gift wrap options, some that would be fun family/friend projects to make a warm & cozy afternoon of---just add a little hot cocoa and a BBC film!

Ornaments make wonderful & easy gift toppers, and can be added to the tree Christmas morning  (Victorian Angel Ornament, at the shop).

This holiday season, I am going to attempt to put extra time and love into wrapping each gift.  I am also trying to be budget-conscious and use some materials I have already saved for projects like this.
I hope this leaves you with some new & fun ideas, and well on your way to wrapping those packages full of love.

Until Soon,
Sara/ "Jane" xx
